"Fansor" is one of our new up-and-coming web series on www.youtube.com/theleesproductions coming out this January. This is our first fantasy series we are doing and we are very excited for it's release.
Fansor is a type of magic that can control the world. There is a book that holds the knowledge of this power and one man, Magundus, has made it his life's work to protect it at all costs from evil hands. He defends the book because he is the only man who isn't blinded by the power the magic holds. The man is a powerful magician and isn't afraid to use his power.
There is an evil lord that comes to power and is ruling most of the world. He hears about this magical book and realizes that it will help him conquer the rest of the world. The lord decides he wants this power, so he sends his soldiers to attack the man that has the book.
The soldiers relentlessly attack Magundus, trying to get the book, but they are always thwarted. During one of the attacks, Magundus saves a woman from the soldiers. He teaches this woman the ways of "Fansor" so he can have a better chance to defeat the evil lord.
The evil lord, however, attempts to bribe the woman to turnover Magundus and the book.
Will the woman accept the bribe?! Will Magundus find out about the evil lords plan in time to save the book?! Will the evil lord get the power to rule the world!?
Tune in this January to www.youtube.com/theleesproductions to catch this exciting new series!!

"Guilty By Association" Shoot
"Guilty By Association" is a song written by the artist Stefany Mayz. She is an up and coming independent artist and will definitely make it in the professional world. She came to us with a great idea for a music video for this song, and we started pre-productions right away.
We first had to aquire a location for the shoot. She wanted a place with a nice downtown feel to it with many storefronts and people. So we looked around and decided on Haddonfield NJ. We called the Boro Hall and secured the location via the police of the town.
She also wanted to shoot in some of the stores in the area so we went to the store's owners and secured those locations as well. It took a little coaxing on some of them but in the end we had no real trouble getting the stores she wanted.
Next we set the dates and found our actors. We did storyboards and went to the location a week before to plan out the shots and to make a shooting schedule. We got our shotlist together and made sure all the props were ready. We got the actors ready by telling them what their roles were and what we expected on the day of the shoot. When the date of the shoot rolled around, yesterday, we were totally prepared and ready to go.
Crew call was at 10am at the starbucks in the downtown area and everyone was on time. Once everyone was there we started shooting.
We kept on schedule through the whole day not having to change any order at all. We had many people approach us and ask us what we were doing and many more who just stared. We shot everything we needed by 5pm. When we finished everyone was congradulated on a great shoot and a fine job.
With the shoot done expect behind the scenes to be coming out soon. You will be able to see exactly what happen hour by hour of the entire shoot. Until its released check out some of our past music videos for Stefany Mayz at www.youtube.com/theleesproductions, you won't be disappointed.

"Dramatic Paws" Auditions
Tonight we had auditions for our up and coming web series "Dramatic Paws." The web series is about the funny and wacky events of the day to day life at a vet clinic. The web series was written by David Martin and will be directed by William Lees Jr.
The auditions started off well when we advertised them two weeks ahead of the casting call on craigslist, among other sites. We had many responses and interest in the script and were hopeful for the turnout.
The night of the auditions we got to the room at Rowan University and set it up. We had everything barely out of the way when the first actor showed up. The actor was going to read for the main character of the film.
He did very well and finished just as the next actor showed to read for the same role. We went through about 4 actors before the night was out. Each phenomenal in their own right. We had a hard decision in front of us. All the actors tried out for the main role so casting was going to be hard.
We ended up casting two roles out of the auditions and have more set for a week from now.
"Dramatic Paws" will begin shooting in the middle of November to end of December. Like our Lees Productions page at www.facebook.com/leesproductions to keep up with all the info on the show.

2011 National Film Challenge
About a week ago we joined the National Film Challenge! We would have three days to write, produce, shoot, and edit a short film. We had no idea what we were getting into.
We counted down the days like all the other teams with anticipation and excitement! We had everything we could prepare beforehand ready by the first day of the contest, Oct 21, 2011. When 7pm rolled around on Oct 21, 2011 we entered the team area on the website for the National Film Challenge and got our topic, line, prop, and character. With the parameters in mind we began spitballin ideas of possible scripts!
After 4 hours we had a finalized idea. It was a great idea, but it had the possibility to run too long. So we had reservations from the beginning about the length. We decided to sleep on it and start shooting Saturday afternoon because our actor couldn't be there till then. Which added more tension on the shoot.
Saturday began and we finally met by 4 in the afternoon to start shooting the film. We started off strong and shot most of the film by the end of the night. We had one of us editing as footage was shot and had everything we shot by the end of the night in a rough timeline ready for edit the next day. We finished half the film by the end of the nights shooting.
Sunday began with sound effects and ADR recording over a friends house. We recorded as much as we could until our actor was free at around 3pm. We shot the rest of the film and had our editor going as we finished the last shots. After the film was shot we got some more ADR and sound effects from the actor.
When all was quite again, all that remained was the editing and sound crews. We edited long into the night and when the last of us finally went delirious we finished up the final film. We played through it many times then went to bed.
Monday morning we woke up and found we were all late to our day jobs. When we got back home we exported the film and got the final papers together. We set out to the Post Office and mailed the final product out!! Hope all goes well.
